Refreshed programme to support our service recovery
The CUH Leadership Support Circles programme is an NHSE/I health and wellbeing initiative designed to support the wellbeing and resilience of leaders and their teams through the pandemic and into the recovery phase. During and after extremely pressured times, using a structured safe space to de-compress and connect with others having similar experiences helps to maintain wellbeing and personal resilience.
These support circles offer time and reflective safe space for those with responsibility for managing others to come together, share their current experiences and gain personal insights and gain insights from others about self-care and supporting their teams as we move to re-instate services and adjust to new ways of working. They are multidisciplinary interactive spaces and comprise short (one hour) themed, facilitated online zoom webinars.
The first cycle of this programme received highly positive feedback from participants. The second cycle runs from Monday 26 April through to the end of June 2021. Topics include:
- Look after yourself
- Speak candidly and compassionately
- Set the emotional tone
- Be inclusive in the way you lead
- Look out for your team
Participants can book onto any one, or all, of the themed sessions and will also be signposted to further support resources linked to the particular themes. To register for a circle, please click here.
CUH Leadership Support Circles forms a part of the overall emotional and psychological support available to CUH staff.
Please note: Our new cycle offers the 5 themes which will most effectively support our recovery work ahead, rather than the 10 previously offered. If you would like to access all related guides and information for all of the 10 themes, these can be found on the NHS People – Support for leaders page.
