25 March 2022

Occupational Health and Wellbeing (Oh) will be contacting CUH managers over the next few weeks to notify them of direct reports that have outstanding immunisations and screening. This is in preparation for Oh moving to using HealthRoster to notify managers of staff who are not compliant with the trust’s staff screening and immunisation policy.

In April 2022, the Oh department will be moving to HealthRoster reporting as standard practice for all new starters within the trust. Staff with outstanding immunisations and screening will be colour flagged as:

  • Green: Compliant
  • Amber: Awaiting appointment/results or in process
  • Red: Not compliant

Further information will be supplied to managers nearer the go live date to understand the screening data added on HealthRoster and what to do with this information. Moving to HealthRoster will eventually replace Oh emails and or letters to managers for new starters. The benefit of this is that it will allow managers to visually see their team’s immunisation and screening status at any time. Where possible, changes in compliance will be updated on HealthRoster within seven days of activity completed at Oh. This will give managers instant access and ability to see clearances in real time. Managers of staff who are in post with an outstanding recall prior to the go live date will be receiving a letter regarding their direct reports, as well as this information being added to HealthRoster for managers to see.

Oh will confirm a ‘go live’ date towards the end of March.

Immunisation and Screening is highly important: Depending on your occupation and where you work within the Trust you may need extra immunisations on top of the national recognised immunisation schedule to help protect you and your patients, and keep you well while working.

Please see the Immunisation and Screening Matrix for details of mandatory and recommended immunisation screening for individuals working within a health care setting. For our policy on staff immunisation and infection screening click here.

Managers please ask direct reports who are not compliant to contact the Assurance team on 01223 274258 to arrange their outstanding immunisation/screening appointments. The Assurance team phone lines are open 12:00 to 16:30 from Monday to Friday. Appointments are available during clinic hours, which run from 09:15 to 12:30 and 13:15 to 16:00 from Monday to Friday. Appointments are subject to availability. Staff can also contact Oh in writing by emailing: ohschelp@addenbrookes.nhs.uk.
