National lockdown – advice for clinically extremely vulnerable (CEV) staff and those who have health risk assessed as red.
Following the government announcement of a national lockdown commencing Tuesday 05 January, the government has updated their advice to those who have a shielding letter. The current advice is to stay at home, even if you cannot work from home.
We advise any staff member who is in the CEV and/or red risk group to contact their manager to update their individual risk assessment and to arrange work from home if this is not already in place. Here you can find version 6 of the individual staff health risk assessment.
If there are any individuals who are risk assessed red with no shielding letter, and have considered this guidance and still believe they have a reason to remain in work, then they should arrange an occupational health discussion and remain at home until a discussion has taken place.
In line with our values, the Trust aims to keep our staff safe and well. We encourage you to use the advice and support available to you at this difficult time. Support is available to both individual members of staff and line managers from the divisional heads of workforce and medical staffing.
