Swap shop gives us a great opportunity to find new homes for things we do not need any more but are still quite serviceable – from desks to diaries and from microwaves to mirrors.

Please help us keep good things from ending up in the skip.

When it comes to a furniture item, please note that Facilities Helpdesk (x 216696) will only arrange for collection once you have made a concerted effort to find it a new home (a minimum of three weeks advertising). So please think ahead and post on Swap Shop as early as possible. After three weeks your post will be automatically unpublished, but you will be invited to renew, cancel or send a collection request.

Facilities Helpdesk will not arrange collection of unwanted stationery; however, we encourage you to use Swap Shop to find new owners.
Medical equipment cannot be listed on Swap Shop.

When adding a new item we ask that you provide an HR room number. This number can be found in the door frame of your room.

To add a new listing to SwapShop select the button below.

How to guides

  1. Click on the Edit button at the top or bottom of your listing
  2. The login or use an Access Key box will appear. We only use Access Keys so ignore the Login form on the left of the box and focus on the right side of the box title …or us an Access Key
  3. Below the’ …or us an Access Key’ form click on the link that reads ‘Request an access key?’
  4. Enter the email address you used when submitting the article (alternative email addresses won’t work) and click the continue button
  5. An access key will be sent to your email address
  6. Open the email and copy the access key. It will look something like this 0a48294256b7dcc2c4cf20c63d6fdf5a027b06d6
  7. Return the Portal page with the Access Key and login box (Access Key login page)
  8. This time on the form on the right that is below …or use an Access Key you need to enter your email address and Access Key that you have just copied in step 6
  9. Click on the ‘Use access key’ button
  10. You will now see the Edit Listing box
  11. Complete the form, ensuring you choose your category on the first section. Once all updates are made click on the ‘Complete listing’ button at the bottom of the form.
  12. You will now see the submission received box
  13. To check your listing updates click on the ‘Go to your listing’ link.
